The Rejection Hall of Fame

A humble, not at all sarcastic and probably growing mish-mashed compilation of tests and assignments
I've given to companies that got me rejected and/or ghosted. (Usually ghosted.)

For context, I think it's common for us to only ever present the best of ourselves online in order to attract the
opportunities we want. But I think there's value in presenting the other, not-so-good parts too.
We're only human and bound to fail sometimes, so why not own it?
An illustration assignment with a focus on ethnic diversity and pets, for some reason.
Yeah, I don't blame them for rejecting me on this one.
I actually got selected for this one before the job turned out to not really fit my bill.
The mail I got in response to this one was honestly a little heartbreaking. They said my work was so far off from their expectation, they wanted to give me another shot at it. I respectfully declined and ate a lot of food that night.

My rejection journey might keep growing and honestly it can hurt my confidence as a designer sometimes. But getting all this work up and out of the shame closet definitely helps to take back control of the narrative. Here's to rejection!
